This is my second visit to Hakshan at Cheras Traders Square, and it definitely won’t be my last! I really appreciate their attentive and friendly service. The staff always make you feel welcome. The set menu offers great value with plenty of variety to choose from, and the food quality is consistently good. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, perfect for chit-chatting over a meal. I also like that the place is clean and well-maintained, which makes the dining experience even more pleasant. Highly recommend Hakshan if you’re looking for good food, great service, and a relaxed spot to catch up with friends or family!

Tried: - Trio Sauce Chicken - Hakka Yam Abacus Seeds - Drunken Shrimp - Hakka Style Braised Pork Belly with Black Fungus - Fried Egg with Pickled Radish - Braised Ginger Duck - Pig Stomach with White Pepper Soup - Hakka Noodle with Minced Meat - Hakka Classic Lei Cha Hearty and delicious food with attentive service. What truly sets this place apart is its commitment to giving back to society. The shop actively supports good causes and charity, with RM5 is donated for every a la carte dish sold, and 1 set donated for every 3 set meals sold. On top of that, they provide ready-packed meals outside the shop for those in need, available for anonymous collection. No explanations required and no records kept, just genuine kindness and compassion. Good food, great service, and a meaningful mission. Highly recommended!

One of the best places to get braised pork in black vinegar. The spice and sourness is on point. A great dish to work up an appetite. The dessert I got was the Osmanthus Goji Berry Jelly. This is more forgettable, as the Osmanthus flavor was mild. Otherwise, the jelly was okay, it wasn’t too solid or watery. You can ask them to serve it after your meal. Please keep in mind they have a non-member and member price on the menu. The difference is RM5. The atmosphere was cozy and everything was very new and clean. I did not need to line up during a weekday lunch hour.

This is my third visit to this Hakka restaurant, and I continue to enjoy the food here. One of my favorites is the Crispy Pork Belly with Fermented Bean Curd, which is consistently satisfying. My friend ordered the Hakka Classic Lei Cha rice. Although I didn’t quite like Lei Cha based on my past experiences, this restaurant does it well, and I found it enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the pricing is reasonable, making it good value for money. The food is well-cooked and nicely presented. I personally like the lighter taste, though my friend, who prefers stronger flavors, felt it was a bit too mild. The service staff are attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is comfortable, with good lighting, proper tables and chairs, and a pleasant temperature. There is also a discount for members, which is a nice bonus. It can get quite crowded during peak dining hours, so it’s advisable to come earlier. The only downside is that parking in the area can be difficult. Overall, it’s a place I would gladly return to.

The food was truly enjoyable. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced without being too strong. The texture was just right, and each bite felt comforting. It’s the kind of meal that makes you feel warm and satisfied. I would definitely come back again.

Everything is good. Quite authentic and not overly salty. Can enjoy the taste of the fresh ingredients instead of seasoning and sauces. It feels really like mum’s home cook

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. I tried the Pork Trotter Vinegar, the chicken with yellow wine, and a glass of orange and plum drink — all of them were really delicious. The Pork Trotter Vinegar was soft, flavorful, and perfectly Strong vinegar taste and savory, with the Vinegar sauce soaking nicely into the meat. The yellow wine chicken had a rich aroma and a gentle sweetness from the wine that made it very comforting and satisfying. The orange and plum drink was refreshing, slightly sour with a hint of sweetness — a perfect match for the meal. The dishes were served hot and freshly prepared, and the portions were just right. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming. Everything felt thoughtfully made and full of authentic flavor. I’ll definitely come back again to try more dishes next time!
